Position Overview:
The Elementary Principal for Lake Worth Christian School is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the elementary division, fostering a strong and positive culture among teachers and staff, and ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment. This role includes guiding instructional decisions to promote academic excellence, overseeing student discipline, and aligning practices with the school’s mission and values. Additionally, the Elementary Principal works closely with the Superintendent on school-wide initiatives, contributing to the overall success and continuous improvement of the school community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities should include, but are not limited to the following.

For Elementary Students
Promote a strong Christ-centered environment for all students and demonstrate strong Christian leadership.
Lead the process of vetting, interviewing, and orienting new students.
Supervise and ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students.
Collaborate with the assistant principal, teachers, and staff on student testing, grade placement, registration, record keeping, and academic progress monitoring.
Prepare the master schedule for teachers and coordinate field trips.
Oversee student behavior, dress, and attendance while encouraging positive behavior and addressing non-compliance per school policies.
Communicate regularly with students and families, addressing concerns and providing updates.
Plan and oversee the annual elementary award ceremonies.
Provide support to teachers and staff on elementary performances.
Collaborate with the Campus Pastor on the spiritual development of students and teachers, including assisting the Campus Pastor on weekly chapels.
Report regularly to the Superintendent and recommend policy, program, or procedure changes.

For Teachers and Staff
Promote a strong Christ-centered environment for all staff.
Assist with recruitment, employment, and evaluation of teachers and staff as needed.
Collaborate with the assistant principal to ensure curriculum and instructional support for teachers and to ensure quality, creative Christian instruction.
Conduct classroom observations and provide oral and written evaluations of teachers, reporting findings to the Superintendent.
Support school-wide implementation of Kagan Cooperative Learning.
Assign extracurricular and supervisory duties to teachers.
Oversee staff attendance records and arrange for substitutes.
Communicate regularly with teachers and staff and hold appropriate meetings.
Emphasize and support school-wide professional development opportunities.
Assist the Superintendent with school accreditation process.
Collaborate with the Technology Team to establish long- and short-term goals, including budget planning.

For Facilities and Operations
Ensure facility safety and security in partnership with other administrators.
Collaborate with the nurse to handle health matters.
Delegate to the assistant principal appropriate responsibilities that assist with the oversight of facilities and daily operations.
Work with the Facilities Manager and Superintendent on facility scheduling, cleanliness, and maintenance.
Maintain inventory of equipment, supplies, and textbooks, ensuring proper distribution and collection.
Oversee transportation scheduling with the Transportation Director.
Manage daily operations, including schedules and bell systems.
Lead fire and emergency drills in collaboration with other administrators.

For Curriculum, Extracurricular Activities, and Daily Organization
Oversee curriculum development and lead curriculum mapping efforts.
Support the growth and development of the school’s academic programs.
Oversee student leadership development programs for middle and high school.
Manage the daily organization, scheduling, and supervision of activities for students and teachers.
Advise and monitor designated budget areas.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
Preferred Master’s degree in educational leadership
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the education field
Proven leadership experience in education.
Strong ability to foster collaboration among teachers, staff, and administrators.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to academic excellence and spiritual development.
Experience with curriculum development, teacher evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
Proficiency in using technology to support educational goals and operations.

Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
Must operate computers, hand-held learning devices, and other office equipment.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
