5th Grade Lead Teacher (Full-Time)
• Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Contract Dates: November 2025 – June 2, 2026
• Compensation: $20,000 (reflecting partial-year employment through June 2026)
• Lesson Planning: Required, with planning time provided during Bible, PE, music,
art, computers, and Spanish classes
• Assistant: Full-time classroom assistant provided
Position Summary
FUMCS is seeking passionate, qualified, and faith-filled elementary teachers to join our
team. The ideal candidates will love children, maintain strong classroom management,
and demonstrate the ability to integrate faith and learning across all subjects. Teachers at
FUMCS model Christlike character and guide students in both academic excellence and
spiritual growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach core subjects including Reading, Language Arts, Grammar, Math, Science,
and Social Studies (subject load depends on position)
• Incorporate Biblical principles throughout instruction, classroom management,
and daily interactions
• Maintain a loving, well-managed, and structured classroom environment
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents regarding student progress
and behavior
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, including lead and assistant teachers, to ensure
cohesive instruction and student support
• Participate in school events, meetings, and staff development opportunities
• Optional: Lead after-school clubs or enrichment programs for additional
compensation
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Fluent in English (all lessons are conducted in English)
• Active relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to biblical values
• Regular attendance at a Bible-believing church of your choice
• Demonstrated classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with
parents
• Heart for Christian education and mentoring young learners
Compensation & Benefits
• Salaried positions, with rate based on experience and role
• 10 days paid time off (full-time position)
• Opportunities for additional compensation through after-school programs
• Salaries will increase for the 2026–2027 school year
Application Process
Our hiring process includes three steps:
1. In-person interview
2. Classroom shadow day
3. Lead teaching experience (2–3 days)
