Job Summary
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Pre-K2 Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to support the early learning and development of young children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and understands how to foster social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth through play-based and developmentally appropriate practices.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards
Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that supports curiosity and exploration
Support children’s social, emotional, language, and motor skill development
Experience planning and developing curriculum
Demonstrate a mature personal Christian faith consistent with Kendall Christian School’s Statement of Faith, active Church member, and exhibiting a close personal walk with Jesus Christ.
Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, and independence in young learners
Ability to maintain an appropriate work/life balance.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Possess solid communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills.
Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times
Follow school policies, health and safety regulations, and child protection guidelines
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support classroom and school-wide goals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience working with Pre-K or early childhood age groups is an advantage
Knowledge of child development and early learning frameworks
Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Fluent in the English language.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Full-Time Position
10-Month Position (August-May)
80% of employee health care costs are paid by the employer
Up to 5% matched annually toward a retirement fund
50% reduction in tuition for children of KCS employees
Supplemental summer employment is available
