ST Search is assisting North Cobb Christian School in the search for its next Director of Athletics. NCCS is an independent Christian school that serves 1,269 students from preschool K3 through grade 12.

The next Director of Athletics at North Cobb Christian School will continue this tradition of excellence while taking the program to the next level. They will oversee the athletic program, including personnel management, budgeting, fundraising, and development, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission. Responsibilities will include hiring and mentoring coaches, scheduling, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Director of Athletics will support student athletes through college counseling, foster community engagement, and enhance the athletic experience. Emphasizing spiritual growth and excellence, the role will integrate faith into athletics, cultivating a program that develops character and integrity.

The Position

The Director of Athletics should demonstrate a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, display spiritual maturity, biblical integrity, and a godly spirit, and embody dedication, flexibility, and responsiveness.

Personnel

• Support coaches and staff in professional and spiritual growth.
• Conduct evaluations and provide feedback to reporting staff.
• Interview and hire personnel with supervisor approval.
• Hold weekly Athletics staff meetings.

Budget

• Collaborate to establish and manage the annual athletic budget.
• Ensure accountability and oversight of expenditures and revenues.

Admissions & Re-enrollment

• Assist with Open Houses and admissions processes.
• Engage with prospective students and families regarding athletics.

Track student-athlete re-enrollment trends year to year.

College Counseling

• Provide college information and support to student-athletes.
• Collaborate with counselors on applications, financial aid, and recommendations.
• Maintain contact with college coaches to guide students on requirements.

Athletics Oversight

• Manage the entire athletic program, including scheduling, budgeting, and staff assignments.
• Ensure harmony among coaches and programs, resolving conflicts as needed.
• Oversee game preparation and accident reporting.
• Work collaboratively with the school’s Marketing and Development teams on branding, promoting, fundraising, and sponsorships.

Scheduling & Events 

• Coordinate sport schedules, transportation, officials, and early dismissals.
• Liaise with the Booster Club for events and fundraising.
• Ensure effective communication via newsletters and website updates.

Compliance & Inventory

• Enforce Georgia High School Association regulations.
• Oversee uniform inventory, equipment, and athlete eligibility.
