Qualifications

● The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, collaborative, and deeply committed to student achievement and character development

● Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (required)

● Valid Florida teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification (preferred)

● Strong classroom management skills and a student-centered teaching philosophy

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● A growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

Responsibilities

● Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in all core subject areas (ELA, math, science, and social studies)

● Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes student voice and a love of learning

● Utilize data to inform instruction, assess student progress, and adjust teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes
● Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support each child’s academic and social-emotional growth

● Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and community partners to support interdisciplinary learning experiences

● Participate in ongoing professional development, school-wide initiatives, and team planning

● Support the broader school community by offering and participating in school-wide events, and performances that enrich student life and promote school spirit

● Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Parkway Christian School
