Administrator Evaluation Form/Rubric

  • Posted by Andrew on September 19, 2024 at 3:28 pm

    Hi all –

Does anyone have a sample administrator evaluation rubric that you would be willing to share? We are working to revamp ours (trying to move into 2024…) and would love to see what other schools are presently doing/using. We do have a sample rubric from the Ohio Department of Education, but we also want to potentially adapt it to reflect the Biblical integration elements too. We do not participate in the state version since we are not a public school. I’m not sure if a document can be attached to this discussion, but you’re welcome to email me at millsa@harvestprep.org.

    Thank you for your consideration!

I am actually working on one myself. I thought maybe I would start with the Florida Leadership Standards but modify it to fit my school setting and schoolwide goals (5-year plan). I haven’t been able to find a rubric or evaluation tool for noninstructional staff employees such as office manager, resource coordinator, Dean of Students, etc. I will share more as I find/develop more.

    Hi Andrew,

I hope all is well in Ohio! I’ll work on finding you an example and send them over to you. I know some accreditation organizations’ evaluation tools can be found online. You may have to tailor them to the positions you would like to evaluate.

Would you please share with me as well? I’m trying to tie part of ours to our unique mission and core values but would benefit greatly from seeing what y’all have used more broadly.

I’d be happy to. Could you send me your email address? You can send it to mine at jasonr@ccaeagles.org

We were able to put together a version that uses the goals-oriented approach like what CCA uses in conjunction with the Ohio Principal Standards. We’re in the final draft of it. I really like keeping the metrics goals-oriented. Spending time trying to rate principals on whether or not they show up on time, etc. is useless. For the non-instructional staff, we use a generic version that is used for all our school and church employees that is more basic in approach (ie. dress code, handbook compliance, communication, etc.)
