Elementary Teacher (K5-5th)
Position Overview
Colonial Christian School, a FACCS fully accredited school, is seeking to hire an enthusiastic Elementary teacher to join our dedicated team

Responsibilities
·      Effectively deliver curriculum to meet developmental goals

·      Prepare lesson plans, grade papers, manage the classroom, & evaluate & give feedback to students

·      Exercise open, respectful, & clear communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, & other school staff

·      Set measurable goals for students & gauge their progress

·      Maintain current student records including grades & attendance

·      Use technology effectively to communicate with parents & students

·      Provide a safe, respectful learning environment where students can thrive

·      Establish and implement classroom rules

·      Adapt teaching methods & activities to meet the learning styles of students

·      Prepare students for academic promotions

Qualifications
·      A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

·      Highly developed oral & written communication skills

·      Ability to build relationships effectively & professionally with families & students

·      Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, standing, & moving throughout the classroom

·      Active member of their church
