    Communication Across the Organization

    • open communication with every department, not just your own, is crucial to effective scheduling
    • we discussed various task management software options –
    1. Asana, https://asana.com/ – With Asana, you can set company-wide goals, manage strategic plans, and get work done on a single platform.
    2. Slack, https://slack.com/ -Organize teams and work. Meet using audio and video. Apps & integrations. File sharing. Bring files into the flow of work.
    3. Google Sheets, https://www.google.com/sheets/about/ – Create and collaborate on online spreadsheets in real-time and from any device. (was the preferred platform of the group)
    4. Microsoft, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/community/which-task-management-option – Teams, Outlook, To Do (Microsoft offers a wide variety of tools for organizing and task management)

    External Communication

    • Calendly, https://calendly.com/ – Calendly is the scheduling automation platform with team-based scheduling, solutions and integrations for every department, and advanced security features
    • Doodle, https://doodle.com/en/ – Doodle helps you own your time so you can focus on what matters – building better connections with people. (It was mentioned in the meeting that Doodle allows you to be more precise with your blocks of time when scheduling. Multiple people can choose a block of time to reserve, which makes it ideal for school tours.)

    • Tim Anderson’s Jacksonville chapter will be hosting an SUPD conference on October 11, 2024
    • The Orlando and Greater Tampa Area are making plans to host conferences, beginning in 2025 or 2026
    • The SU Minnesota chapter is hosting a conference in the Twin Cities area in October
    • Schools United SUPD conference in Ft. Lauderdale is on 2/14/25 – Schools United Conference Experience
