SPANISH IMMERSION ELEMENTARY TEACHER

Job Description:

Kendall Christian School (KCS) is seeking a passionate and qualified Spanish Immersion Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and familiar with Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs.

KCS serves over 400 students and employs more than 90 faculty and staff members. Our school provides strong instruction in core academics combined with a project-based learning approach that encourages critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.

The elementary teacher plays a vital role in preparing students for meaningful lives by supporting their academic, social, and spiritual development.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Education required.

·         Certified or certifiable with the Florida Department of Education

·         Fluent in Spanish/English.

·         Prior experience in education, preferably in Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs

·         Experience planning and developing curriculum

·         Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

·         Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

·         Demonstrate expertise in delivering math instruction for 3rd and 4th grade students, using a variety of instructional strategies to promote deep conceptual understanding.

·         Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

·         Ability to maintain an appropriate work/life balance

Position Type, Salary Range and Benefits Info:

Full Time Position

10 Month Position (August – May)

70% of employee health care cost is paid by the employer.

Up to 5% matched annually towards retirement fund.

50% reduction in tuition for children of KCS employees.
