Job Opening:
We have two openings for full-time middle school teacher (6th-8th grade), for the 2025/2026 school year, with a contract start date of August 8, 2025. One opening will have a subject focus in english and the other opening has a subject focus on science.

Job Summary:
The teacher is the primary instructor and caregiver for the students during each school day. In living out the mission of the organization, the teacher is to adhere to our “Family Values” and always model Christ in their beliefs, thoughts, and actions, both on and off the job.

The teacher is responsible for working in conjunction with other grade level teachers to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program for their grade level learning environment. Teachers must guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their full spiritual, social, and academic potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the school administration.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Required

• Endorse and agree with the Conduct Covenant for First Christian Church of Huntington Beach.
• Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is authoritative on all matters of which it speaks.
• Possess spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to teach and train children in the way they should go.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Possesses or will possess within three years of starting employment with HCS a current and valid California Teaching Credential. If a teacher is working towards a current and valid California Teaching Credential they must provide proof of their enrollment in an approved program within 1 year of employment.
• Have knowledge and demonstrate competency in subject matter.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability and continued reliability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
• Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
• Knowledge and working ability of relevant technology.
• Meet and continue to meet professional teacher education requirements of the school and state.

Salary
We offer competitive salary for private school teachers based on experience and education level ranging from $60,448 – $92,067 annually.
