First United Methodist Christian School (FUMCS), a Christ-centered, FACCS-accredited private school in Homestead, Florida, is seeking a Middle School Bible Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This position teaches Bible to students in grades 6, 7, and 8 while helping students develop a strong biblical foundation, Christian character, and a Christ-centered worldview.

FUMCS has served families in South Florida for decades by providing an academically excellent, Christ-centered education. We believe students grow best when they are challenged intellectually while being encouraged spiritually.

Position Responsibilities
Teach Bible courses to students in grades 6–8.
Develop engaging lessons that help students understand Scripture and apply biblical principles to everyday life.
Encourage thoughtful discussion, critical thinking, and spiritual growth.
Help students develop a biblical worldview while addressing real-life questions and challenges from a Christian perspective.
Lead students in prayer, Bible study, and meaningful classroom discussions.
Build positive relationships with students while serving as a Christian role model.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the school’s mission.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, chapels, and school events.
Qualifications
Applicants must:

Hold a bachelor’s degree (required)
Be fluent in English (required)
Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a growing Christian faith
Attend church regularly at the church of their choosing
Have a passion for mentoring and discipling middle school students
Possess excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
Be able to integrate biblical truth into engaging, age-appropriate instruction
Teaching certification, formal Bible training, ministry experience, or previous teaching experience are preferred but not required for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with a genuine heart for Christ and for students.
