Position Overview
Colonial Christian School, a FACCS fully accredited school, is seeking to hire an enthusiasticEnglish teacher to join our dedicated team

Responsibilities
• Effectively deliver curriculum to meet developmental goals
• Successfully instruct students in literature, vocabulary, writing, & grammar
• Prepare lesson plans, grade papers, manage the classroom, & evaluate & give feedback to students
• Exercise open, respectful, & clear communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, & other school staff
• Set measurable goals for students & gauge their progress
• Maintain current student records including grades & attendance
• Use technology effectively to reinforce classroom concepts & communicate with parents & students
• Provide a safe, respectful learning environment where students can thrive
• Establish and implement classroom rules
• Adapt teaching methods & activities to meet the learning styles of students
• Prepare students for academic promotions

Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
• Highly developed oral & written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships effectively & professionally with families & students
• Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, standing, & moving throughout the classroom
• Active member of their church
